Cedar Rapids considers higher lunch prices and TVP meals
Cedar Rapids Community Schools may raise lunch prices by five cents if the Cost of Living council exempts lunch programs from Phase IV controls. New prices would be 40 cents for elementary, 45 cents for secondary, and 50 cents for teachers, with milk rising to seven cents. The district plans more TVP usage to cope with meat shortages, while protein requirements and budget details are noted.
