Iowa DNR Fishing Report Highlights Improving Waters and Biting

The weekly Iowa DNR report notes water clarity improving above Nashua and streams clearing in Winneshiek and Allamakee counties. Walleye and catfish are good in deeper water and below snags. trout fishing remains strong in streams with brown and rainbow trout doing well in cloudy water. Pools 9 to 11 of the Upper Mississippi show strong panfish and smallmouth bass activity with ramps reopened and weed drift noted.
