NIH EPA fund environmental asthma study centers
President Clinton issued an April 1997 executive order establishing Children’s Environmental Health Research centers to study environment and susceptible individuals in asthma. Researchers will compare independent studies as NIH and EPA fund interfacial programs. Asthma affects 10 15 percent of children and grew 160 percent since 1980 to 1994, with increasing severity.
