California turns to Goodyear blimp and McDonalds for voter signup
California officials embrace a marketing approach to voter registration using the Goodyear blimp Granny Goose mascot and McDonalds as promotion partners. The campaign, led by Secretary of State March Fong Eu, includes prizes and on-the-spot registrations at 400 McDonalds, 170 phone offices, and Avon reps, aiming to raise registrations above 11 million by the October 9 deadline for the November 7 election.
