Real estate list shows signs of housing recovery
The August Improving Markets Index shows Cedar Rapids and Iowa City on the recovery list with rising permits and rising home prices. Cedar Rapids permits rose 2.1 percent since December 2011 and Iowa City 0.7 percent since May 2010, with Freddie Mac price indices up in both markets.
