Cedar Rapids keeps federal transit funds for depot renovation
Cedar Rapids will retain about 8.2 million in federal transit funds from an Intermodal grant to renovate the Ground Transportation Center GTC depot on First Street SE rather than building a new facility. The city will update the GTC to be safer and more functional while using EM funding and potentially returning any unused money to the federal agency.
