Bid revisions aim to cut cost for Iowa statewide network
State officials rejected bids from Telecom USA and Televenture for the 50 million statewide telecommunications network for a second time. They plan to trim up to 15 million in future costs by removing nonessential features and narrowing the scope to 105 locations while pursuing a new bid process this year.
