Linn County carves future for Abbe Center with short and long term goals
A Linn County study committee urged two short term moves at Abbe Center for Community Care including transferring five residents to local nursing homes and creating an enhanced residential unit in the same building. It also proposed a 24 hour staffed cluster of apartments and a 12 person move to cut annual costs. Long term plans include a clustered 24 hour supervision setting at about 90 dollars per day and a 40 unit supported living complex with potential Medicaid funding.
