Suit filed to halt Iowa fundraising by Colorado charity
Polk County Judge Larry Eisenhauer ordered Colorado Children Foundation Inc to stop raising money in Iowa under the Iowa Children’s Foundation name or any other. Attorney General Tom Miller says the Denver based charity used donor funds for personal expenses and sent money out of state while falsely claiming to aid Iowa families with dependent and poor children. The suit names Phillip Rice and Michael Mann as defendants.
