Iowa City to restore historic City Park cabins
Work begins to restore two City Park demonstr ation cabins built in 1889 and 1918 by the Old Settlers Association. North Construction of Muscatine is the contractor for a 256900 project, with Heritage Woodworks cataloging pieces before disassembly for in‑house restoration. Funding from Resource Enhancement and Protection, the Community Foundation of Johnson County, and private donors supports the effort to preserve and reuse these history teaching cabins.
