Stocks Erase Gains as Profit-Takers Press Market Higher

Cedar Rapids Hog and Sheep Markets Show Mixed Movements
The Cedar Rapids hog market was steady to 50c lower for butchers and 25c higher for packers. 200 to 230 lb butchers paid 47.25 to 48.00 with various weight-based discounts up to 300 lb. Packing sows around 300 lb ranged 39.75 to 41.00. Hog weights above 500 lb saw further discounts. The sheep market fell about 1.00 with spring lambs at 53.00 to 55.00. lambs over 100 lb expected further discounts.

Arrest totals dip in Cedar Rapids week of July 29 to Aug 4
