Lowallinois Rate Increase Bid Is Downed
DES MOINES AP The Des Moines based utility Mingis Gus and Electrie Co cannot raise rates for 1970 and projections for the weather last year for a release as a gas bid, the utility commission said Tuesday. The commission said the company wanted to use its own cost projections for 1972 data. It found that the commission had allowed a suspension with 1972 cost data and that further data was needed. If allowed, the rate increase would reflect the 12 months beginning Jan 1 1972 and the 12 months beginning Feb 4 1979. The commission noted the company appealed the June decision and that the suspension rules would require refinement to be public.
