John R. Harrell founder of a 100 member sect and his 13 year old son Ted were freed on 9500 bond after a FBI raid on their wooded retreat in Illinois. 15 followers remain jailed along with Pvt. Dion Gaylord Davis the Marine deserter. Harrell said no insurrection and will not arrange higher bonds until Monday.

Elmo E. Allen 1461 Richmond Rd NE Cedar Rapids died in a local hospital at 5 12 pm Saturday after a brief illness. He was a Chandler Company salesman and World War II veteran born August 5 1911 in Holstein. He married Agnes Wallmuth December 27 1939 in Brandon MD and was a Hanford Post 5 American Legion member. He is survived by his wife and his mother Mrs Earl H Allen. Services at Turner chapel at 10 30 Tuesday with burial in Mason City IA. The family suggests donations to the cancer fund. Friends may call at the chapel until 10 30.
