Woodland grazing harms forests and soil in Indiana and Wisconsin
Woodland pastures yield little forage and raise costs to cattlemen. Open bluegrass pastures provide far more forage per acre, while grazing woodlots damages tree roots and reduces lumber value. Soil erosion rises in grazed woods, compared with protected woods and open pasture. At Peoples Bank Cedar Rapids offers Regular and Special Checking with no minimum to open.
