Linn-Mar High Gets New Greenhouse For Agriculture Program
At Linn-Mar High, a 22 by 48 foot fiberglass greenhouse rises outside the vocational agriculture classroom. The project, funded in part by a federal voag grant, will serve as a student lab for crop production and a source of income from plant sales to offset expenses. The program aims to train students for agriculture related careers, with 70 to 75 students taking courses annually and about 90 FFA members.
