Westdale Mall purchase plan collapses in Cedar Rapids
John Frew and Willow Creek Ventures withdrew their bid to buy and redevelop Westdale Mall after failing to resolve about 60 tenant leases and the out of state owners declined more time. The plan had required a full mall closing on purchase day except anchor tenants J C Penney and Yonkers and the vacant Von Maur space.
