Taste of Iowa festival eyed for downtown in Labor Day weekend
Renaissance Group aims to host a three day festival September 2 4 with up to 50 000 attendees on downtown streets and stages while addressing Fourth of July style elements and bridge access objections from City Council. Organizers say the event will be a food festival that includes beer rather than a beer fest. The council plans to decide August 16 on the alcohol bridge issue after negotiations with the Renaissance Group.

Convicted sex offenders must provide address Social Security number telephone number a photograph and fingerprints when registering. Names stay on the registry for 10 years after offense and offenders must verify addresses annually and notify authorities within 10 days of any change.
