Cedar Rapids school board approves 34 million budget amid dissent
Cedar Rapids district three director Mary Ann Kucera joined two colleagues in criticizing the 34 million dollar 1975 76 budget saying key questions were unanswered and the process was rushed. She objected to 75 000 dollars shifted to special levy funds and urged more time to review CERs and renovations at McKinley Roosevelt. Beatty and others defended the budget while noting necessary trims and ongoing renovations.
