Fratch er Dies Cedar Rapids Utilities Executive at 50
Frank Fratcher 50 Cedar Rapids utilities executive died of a heart attack Saturday at his mother’s home in Kansas City Missouri. He was vice president and general manager of Iowa Electric Company and Central States Electric Company and vice president of Northwest Power and Light Company all Cedar Rapids headquartered. Fratcher had been ill months but not seriously. He played golf earlier Saturday and had traveled to visit his mother who survives with another son Charles. He attended Kansas City public schools and the University of Kansas. He worked with Senator James A Reed’s law offices and later Cedar Rapids Reed interests after John Reed’s 1933 death. Funeral services have not been announced.
