Culver to Attend Washington Democratic Conference

John C. Culver of Marion, candidate for Iowa's Second District, will attend a national Democratic congressional candidates conference in Washington Wednesday through Saturday. He will campaign at Linn County Fair in Central City today, Cedar Rapids Monday, Clinton County Fair in Clinton Tuesday, then Washington briefing with President Johnson and cabinet members. Culver said Mrs. Culver will appear at the Jaycee Airshow in Cedar Rapids today, Clinton County Fair on Thursday, and Jackson County Fair in Maquoketa on Friday.

Tillson's Medal Posthumously For Col Arthur Tillson

Mrs. Tillson of Iowa City will receive the Army Legion of Merit posthumously for her husband Col Arthur C. Tillson at a ceremony preceding commencement at the University of Iowa. The Oak Leaf Cluster will be presented by Col William N. Holin at 1:15 p.m. in room 16, Field House, for meritorious service as deputy chief of staff for operations and training at Fort Meade and for supervising the 1963 ROTC encampment at Indiantown Gap. Col Tillson, born 1918 in Mitchellville, held multiple decorations and died March 18 after a long illness.
