A third man in the car with two witnesses to a fatal shooting by a Johnson County deputy has been subpoenaed. Police withheld the witness name, but identified him as being with Brock Brones and Mike Tibbetts. They claimed John Deng did not have a knife when Deputy Terry Stotler shot and killed him near the Hawk Eye Hideaway on Prentiss Street. Bohnenkamp, 63, was injured and released from the hospital after Deng, a Sudanese refugee, allegedly stabbed him before the deputy arrived.
