The 28 year old ensign held an electrical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and served with the Army Air Corps a year and a half. His widow of six months and a brother survive. his parents had received the telegram from the War Department confirming his death.

Mrs Stratton 95 Dies After Long Illness in West Branch
Mrs Priscilla Stratton aged 95 died Friday at her son Ross Stratton’s home in West Branch after more than nine years of bed confinement. Born near Barnesville Ohio she married John E Stratton in 1871 and lived in West Branch since 1890. Surviving are two sons Ross and Charles, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. her husband died in 1914 and a daughter preceded her. Funeral services for Friends will be held at the meeting house Sunday at 2 p.m. with burial in West Branch Cemetery.
