High Winds Ravage Eastern Iowa Areas and Farms
Thunderstorms with strong winds blasted Eastern Iowa injuring structures in at least three counties. Iowa Benton and Linn counties report collapsed barns torn roofs and broken windows. In Linn County two horses died when a barn blew off its foundation near the Cobley farmstead west of Alburnett Road.

Tornado strikes four Mannford churches causes deaths and injuries
A tornado hit four Mannford Oklahoma churches during services or just before. One person died and fifty others were hospitalized across Mannford and nearby towns. Police report show two schools destroyed and widespread damage. Vehicles were hurled in church lots and some churches severely damaged or partially destroyed.

Train slams into group on bridge killing four near Kingsville
