Union votes and arrest reports fill local roundup
Members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 plan a 7:30 p.m. Thursday vote at IBEW Hall on a contractor settlement. Glaziers Local 581 in Rock Island will vote Friday on a contract and possible strike. Plumbers and Fitters Local 125 vote Friday morning on a contractor proposal. Police report two men and a woman charged with second degree sexual abuse in a Four Street SW case. Other incidents include an underwear theft at Glass Road NE and a shoplifting incident at Me Too, with suspects held in Linn County Jail. A bicyclist, Dean R. Adams, 13, listed in good condition after a head injury from a collision on North Pine Drive NE.

Three Arrested in Cedar Rapids Kmart Theft Ring
Three men were arrested after thefts from two Cedar Rapids Kmart stores. Albert Corado Robert Coolware and Orville Johnson Jr faced two counts each of third degree theft. Johnson also charged with carrying a weapon. Corado seized for marijuana. items found in car after price tag swaps and an attempted return for extra cash.
