10th Planet Out There Team Says
A UC team at Lawrence Livermore Lab predicts a 10th planet beyond Pluto named Planet X. They base it on Halley’s Comet perturbations, estimating a 300 Earth-mass body six billion miles from the sun with a 5125 year orbit and a tilted path. McGovern aides clash as Jackson statements draw fire
McGovern offered no direct comment on Jackson remarks while press secretary Kirby Jones called them arts of political desperation. An aide noted Max Werling of Tipton was appointed to Iowa's seventh judicial district by Gov. Ray, replacing a resigning judge. Werling had served as Cedar County attorney and is a navy veteran. Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash Near Midway
A Cedar Rapids man, 22 year old Jack Dunkel of 416 Fortieth Street NE, died after losing control on a curve on Highway 150 north of Midway. He was thrown onto pavement and struck by a car driven by Florence M. Winkler. Deputies say the crash raises the year’s Linn County traffic death toll to three.

Former Vice-president Ky said the North Vietnamese would raise the attack this month before the Communist command seeks peace. He described fronts in Binh Long, Kontum, Pleiku, Quang Tri and Thua Thien as major, with substantial forces on each. Blood Replacement Saves San Antonio Sargeant
Sgt. Tori Olson underwent total perfusion at Wilford Hall Center in San Antonio after his heart stopped and his blood was replaced with saline for eight to ten minutes. Six quarts of fresh donor blood were later pumped in as his liver began to recover, enabling him to wake by Easter. Doctors called the experimental procedure a last resort and suspended animation.
