Cedar Rapids Seeks Meeting On Five-in-One Bridge Plan
City leaders asked the Iowa highway commission for a special session to review the I-380 Cedar River five-in-one bridge project cost breakdown. Mayor Donald Canney cited the $13.6 million total with a city share of $1,735,000 for the dam replacement and noted insufficient data to understand the estimates. The plan includes a three level structure carrying six I-380 lanes, E and F avenue traffic, and a dam below to protect water supply and river recreation.
