Graziano Could Face Cerdan If Zale Steps Down
Rocky Graziano emerges as the leading substitute if Marcel Cerdan fights for the world middleweight title in June. Tony Zale retires, paving the way for Graziano, Ray Robinson, Jake Lamotta and Steve Belloise as likely challengers. Graziano’s NY suspension complicates a Polo Grounds bout, but a New Jersey venue appears possible.
