Cattle Grazing Authorized at Pinnacles National Monument
President Clinton’s order allows commercial grazing inside Pinnacles California for the first time since 1908. Tele dyne Inc. co founder Henry Singleton’s family will pay $163 a year for 1,000 acres on Pinnacles southern flank. Environmentalists call subsidies unjustified. Leases expire by September 2001 with no manual for park cattle management.
