Iowa Square Dance Festival Returns to Cedar Rapids
The Cedar Rapids Playground and Recreation Commission hosts the second annual Iowa Square Dance Festival and Clinic on May 9 with a 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. clinic and an 8 p.m. evening festival featuring 24 regional square and round dance callers. Admission is 75 cents per person per session. more than 1 000 dancers and spectators are expected.

Voters will decide on a proposition to move Western rural independent school district into College school township at separate elections Monday. County Supt. of Schools Walter Shupp said College residents will vote at the township hall from noon to 7 p.m. Western citizens will participate in the Western polling.
