Remarkable 90 year old earns art therapy PhD at UT
Elizabeth Eichelbaum of Plano Texas will receive her Ph D in art therapy from the University of Tennessee this May at age 90. She earned a bachelor’s degree at 69 and a master’s at 81 while managing macular degeneration and near blindness. Born in Russia she lived in the czar’s palace during the Russian Revolution before reuniting with her mother in America. The family says she is an inspiration and a reminder that learning can continue at any age.
