Sergeant Marvin Powell, a 39 year old Army medic from Spring Lake North Carolina, treats about 200 villagers daily in five Cai Lay villages near the Mekong delta. He has earned a Silver Star during a mortar attack and plans for public service after his Vietnam tour ends.
