Old MacDonald's Farm opens season at Bever Park in Cedar Rapids
Old MacDonald's Farm free children's zoo at Bever Park opens Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 3. New additions include two calves two lambs and piglets joining goats donkeys chickens ducks rabbits ferrets a chinchilla parrot prairie dogs and waterfowl. The Iowa City school board to meet Sunday to pick a new superintendent at the central offices. Finalists are Brad Meeks Mark Bezek and Stephen Murley.

City to gain about 16 million from Sinclair flood loss
