Cedar Rapids school board weighs ISL extension options
Cedar Rapids may extend the instructional support levy for one year to June 30 2003 without voter approval. Superintendent Lew Finch offers two paths: a slight tax increase expected to generate about 5 million annually or a renewal without rates. The ISL funds kindergarten, curriculum, textbooks and technology for 18 000 students.
