Rodgers Opts to Finish Jail Term Without Work Release
Heisman winner Johnny Rodgers returns to Lincoln jail to serve the remaining 17 days of a 30 day sentence for driving with a suspended license. He says public scrutiny prompted the move, aimed at avoiding special favors and protecting Nebraska figures, while continuing tutoring and academic work. He was drafted by San Diego and is negotiating with Montreal CFL.
