NRC proposes record fine for Davis-Besse reactor damage
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission seeks a 5.45 million dollar penalty against FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co for restarting Davis Besse in 2000 without proper cleaning and inspection of the reactor vessel head and for misleading the agency about the work.
