Cornell College Music Festival Opens with Renowned Soloists
Mt. Vernon Cornell College launches its annual Music Festival with an 8 15 p m concert in King Memorial chapel featuring Raya Garbousova cello. Eileen Farrell soprano appears next, followed by the Cornell Oratorio Society with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Saturday. Commander for 132nd Fighter Wing Named
Col. David C. Schilling 33 of Leavenworth Kansas will command the Nebraska Iowa 132nd fighter wing now based at Dow Air Force Base Maine. The unit, federalized as a national air guard forces wing, will be equipped with jet fighters. Schilling, a World War II ace, crossed the Atlantic non stop in an F 84 with aerial refueling and served in the directorate of operations in Washington.
