Life Insurance Conserves Wealth According to Mizener
Harold Mizener spoke to the Lions club at the Hotel Roosevelt arguing life insurance companies act as conservators and distributors of wealth. He cited that railroads carry $22.5 billion in bonded debt, with life companies holding 20 percent in bonds, comparing appraised railroad values of 14 to 21 billion dollars and asserting that the $3 billion in railroad bonds held by insurers have solid prospects if incomes remained untainted by speculation.
