Five Oakdale sex offenders seek release under new ruling
Donald Ashlock Travis Vaughn and Leonard Wheden petition Johnson County District Court to be released from Iowa's Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders at the Medical and Classification Center arguing they were not confined for sexually violent offenses when confinement petitions were filed. A hearing is set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. before Judge Kristin Hibbs.
