A large barn on the Andy Patton farm two miles northeast of Hopkinton burned Tuesday morning. Mrs. Morris Kirkwood spotted flames through the roof about 8 am as her husband and John Kemp loaded cattle nearby. Firemen could not save the building. hay oats a combine and farm machinery 18 brood sows and 140 pigs were lost. Cause undetermined and partial insurance coverage listed.
