Red Sox Pitching Promises To Fulfill Expectations
Red Sox pitching, the team’s flaw last season, shows strong spring form with Lef Grey shutting out the Senators on two hits and Jim Bagby following with a seven strikeout no hitter. If this pace holds, Boston could challenge in the American League race. Fox adds a two-run homer as Boston bats click and Grove and Bagby look like 20-game winners. The Tigers loom, powered by Gehringer and Greenberg, who keyed a 4-2 win over the Browns.
