Eight-event superstition fuels Kerkhoff at Solon Relays
Erin Kerkhoff led Solon to the girls title, winning the 400 and anchoring two winning relays. The Spartans set a sprint medley meet record 1 51.26, as Kerkhoff outdueled Grace Proesch of North Cedar and helped Solon top Mount Vernon and others. Marion, Dyersville Beckman and others posted strong showings in a weather-affected night.
