Cedar Rapids Museum to launch 1.3 million capital upgrade
Cedar Rapids Museum of Art plans a summer start to a 1.3 million Capital Campaign project spurred by a 250 thousand dollar Hall Perrine Foundation gift. The redesign includes removing the Third Avenue ramp, adding an outdoor sculpture space, a new entrance, updated roof and sewer back flow protection, plus a children’s discovery center and revised museum store. A free public preview will show renderings and a collaborative mural activity led by Mona Muse with local participation.
