National Library Week Highlights Reading Traditions
National Library Week runs April 17 to 23 with libraries promoting reading aloud. In Fairfax County Virginia officials and educators read to students at Lemon Road School in Falls Church while families, parents, and kids embrace shared reading at home. Storytelling, once common for kings, is revived as librarians invite children to listen and become storytellers themselves.
