Former Ensign Robert A. Mac Dowell won an annulment of his wartime Enoch Arden marriage to Helen Good MacDowell after learning she was still married to Harold W. Goad. Goad, listed as missing in 1943 after a Burma air crash, later turned up alive, prompting Mrs. Goad to prefer remaining married to him.
