Johnson County SEATs Users Fight Plan to Cut Door-to-Door Service
Johnson County SEATs users gathered at a Johnson County Task Force on Aging forum to oppose potential cuts to door-to-door paratransit service. Officials from Iowa City Coralville North Liberty and the County Supervisors weigh alternatives to reduce costs including curb-to-curb rides Sunday service and fare hikes. A five year contract proposal would bill $200 000 with a 3 percent cap and shift maintenance to cities pending a 28E agreement and July 2016 renegotiation.
