Kirkwood seeks bond extension for renovations and centers
Kirkwood Community College will ask voters in September to extend a 46.5 million dollar bond for 15 years to renovate Linn Hall and build four regional education centers in Marion Iowa City Washington area and western seven county district. The plan requires 60 percent approval and does not raise taxes.

Woman sentenced to 50 years in plea deal
Danielle Holdgrafer pleaded guilty in Jackson County District Court to child endangerment resulting in death for drowning her 4-year-old son Collin Parker William Holdgrafer. She received 50 years with parole eligibility. two other endangerment charges were dismissed. The boy’s father Andrew Holdgrafer died before trial.
