Grant Wood and Marvin Cone Gallery Opens in Cedar Rapids Museum
A new Grant Wood and Marvin Cone exhibition gallery was unveiled at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art honoring Mrs. Winnifred Cone and the late Marvin Cone. The space features about 135 works, joint Cedar Rapids artists, and a 25,000 Hall Foundation grant plus over 40,000 in local pledges and a National Endowment grant. The gallery opens with works by both artists, plus memorabilia from Grant Wood's No. 5 Turner Alley studio.
