Dyersville Crash Hospitalizes Two After High Speed Alley Collision
Two residents of Elma, Kevin McGrane 20 and Rainel Koshell 22, were hospitalized after a car struck a concrete barricade in an alley south of First Avenue. Both were not wearing seat belts. Investigating trooper said conditions unknown. Police continue inquiry with no further details.

Girl 3 recovering after pit bull attack in Davenport
A three year old girl from Moline Illinois is recovering at home after a pit bull attack in Davenport during a visit to a relative. She suffered four puncture wounds to the cheek and ten stitches between the eyes. The dog was loose and the owner reported two of three dogs missing from her yard.

Woman faces new charges in case of missing man
Julie Ann Miller 43 also known as Julie Johnson and Julie Kern is indicted in Cedar Rapids on two counts of interstate transportation of stolen property and one count of interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle. She allegedly moved items from Bellevue to Illinois via Corpus Christi and transported items from Bellevue to Flagstaff and Illinois, including a stolen Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. Miller could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Second person arrested in theft of lottery tickets
A Waterloo woman Marjorie Lancaster aged 25 was arrested and charged with six counts of lottery fraud for cashing about 350 lottery scratch tickets taken from the National Cigar Store. The total winnings were about $1100. Gary Reed II was earlier seen cashing over 100 tickets at a grocery store.
