Special to The Gazette reports five people were injured in a two car crash four miles north of Vinton on Highway 101. Marilyn Hepker of Urbana and Lewis Dake of Vinton drove head on. Dake was arrested on drunk driving charges and jailed after treatment.

Linn Group Weighs State Meeting With Cedar Rapids Aid
The Linn county Organization for Mentally Retarded Children discussed a statewide meeting with similar groups in Cedar Rapids this summer. Forty five attended a YMCA gathering Sunday night.
