Countess Felicia Gizycki daughter of Mrs Eleanor Medill Patterson was married in London at Caxton Hall to Dudley Delevingne an insurance broker. Both bride and groom listed ages as 28. She is Patterson’s daughter by her first husband Count Joseph Gizycki. They met in New York about two years ago and became engaged last month.
Washington AP reports a government inquiry will study electric utility rates and why they differ. The Roosevelt administration ordered a countrywide rate study by the power commission, touted to cut consumer costs by at least 50 million dollars yearly, with potential larger savings. The Associated Gas and Electric company charged the commission timed disclosures biased toward New York utility debates. Washington AP reports Senate and House conferees struck out the Norris amendment to bar politics in HOLC appointments and also removed the clause making federal home loan bank bonds eligible for rediscount. The action accompanied approval of a bill guaranteeing principal and interest on HOLC bonds totaling two billion dollars.
Washington Democrat Senator Huge L. Black refused to join any move that would obstruct justice department work. He would let the senate air mail committee decide on investigating an alleged four hour Lindbergh examination by Col. Carl Ristine.
